Google Local Services Ads

Google Local Services Ads are the paid listings that appear above ordinary search results for some home-service categories, with a phone button and a "Google Guaranteed" or "Google Screened" badge when the company has passed Google's checks. You pay around the lead, under Google's rules for what counts, rather than buying a click to your website. The details of eligibility and billing are Google's, and they change. Read the current policy before you turn them on. Nothing here quotes a figure.

The operational fact is simpler than the ad product. These calls arrive when a person is ready, and they arrive on the phone. If you are under a house, the call rings out, and Google may not treat the missed call as a lead you can dispute forever. The shop that answers, or that texts back immediately and reaches the caller, gets the job. The shop that calls back that evening is often already too late. This is speed to lead with a vendor watching.

Mark the source. A lead from Local Services Ads is not the same as a lead from the free map listing or from a referral. If you dump them all into "phone," you cannot tell whether the ads are worth continuing. Puffly can store that source on the lead. It does not buy ads, manage a Google account, or decide disputes. Those stay in Google's tool. The CRM's job starts when the person exists: name, number, what they needed, and the next task.

Answer quality matters as much as the badge. A fast conversation that takes the wrong job, or that never writes the lead down, wastes the money and the hour. Put the caller on the list even when you answer live. The next person in the shop should see that the lead is handled.

If you cannot return a call the same day, fix that before you spend more on the channel. Ads amplify whatever your phone habits already are, including the misses.
