Missed-call text back for car dealers
A shopper who calls about a listing and gets no answer opens the next tab. Puffly texts them back right away and logs the missed call as a lead.
Why car dealerships miss calls
The floor is busy
Sales staff are with customers or out on a test drive, and the phone at the desk rings out.
Listing calls come at all hours
Shoppers call from online listings in the evening and on weekends to ask if a car is still available, when the showroom is closed.
The shopper calls the next dealer
A person asking about one car usually has several tabs open. The dealer that answers or replies first gets the visit.
After hours and in season
After hours
Most people browse inventory after work and on the weekend. A call that rings out at 8pm is a shopper who will look at the next listing.
Busy and slow seasons
Month-end and holiday sale weekends bring more shoppers, and those are the days the floor is already busiest. Service and parts calls are steady all year.

- The call becomes a leadThe missed call is captured as a prospect in your CRM for you to review, so you can follow up when you are free.
An example message for a car dealership: Sorry we missed your call. Which vehicle were you asking about? Reply and we will confirm it is available and set a time for you to see it.
Your business name goes at the start. You write the message.
Which plan includes it

Questions from car dealers
Does it work for after-hours listing calls?
Yes. It works whenever a call on your tracking number goes unanswered, including evenings, subject to SMS consent and quiet hours.
Can the text ask which vehicle they wanted?
Yes. You write the message, so it can ask which car they called about. Replies come back to your CRM.
Does it replace our BDC?
No. It sends the first reply and captures the lead. Your team does the selling.
